Uploading and Downloading via FileZilla

On this page, we'll show you how to upload and download files using Filezilla, a free FTP client.

Filezilla is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. These screenshots are from the Windows version, but the overall process should be very similar on Mac or Linux.

  1. Download Filezilla from its download page and install it. If you need help downloading and installing FileZlla it, we have a quick tutorial here.
  2. Open FileZilla. At the top of the window is the Quickconnect bar. Enter ftpes://app.brickftp.com/ into the Host box, and enter your username and password into the Username and Password boxes. Click Quickconnect. Because we used ftpes:// rather than ftp://, Filezilla will connect via Secure encrypted FTP.
  3. If all was entered correctly, FileZilla will connect to Brick and show your files in your account on the right side of the screen under the heading Remote Site. In the left side under the heading Local Site are your computer's files. To copy files to Brick, simply drag them to the right pane. To download files from Brick, drag them from the right pane to the left pane.
