Opening BrickFTP™ on a Mac using Finder

On this page, we'll show you how to open BrickFTP™ directly in Finder on your Mac.

Please note that this method of accessing BrickFTP™ uses regular FTP (not encrypted Secure FTP), so if your site administrator has disallowed regular FTP, you will not be able to use this method. Use Filezilla instead. If you are going to be doing lots of heavy file operations, you may prefer to use a real FTP client, such as Filezilla, as they can be more reliable.

  1. Open Finder and and choose Connect to Server from the Go menu (or press Apple+K). In the Connect to Server dialog box, enter ftp://app.brickftp.com/ in the Server Address box and click Connect:
  2. Your Mac will prompt to ask if it can store this information in your Keychain. Click Always Allow.
  3. If all was entered correctly, a new Finder window will open containing the contents of your FTP. You can now browse and access it as any other drive.
