Opening BrickFTP™ in Windows Explorer via FTP

On this page, we'll show you how to open BrickFTP™ directly in Windows Explorer on your Windows PC.

Please note that this method of accessing BrickFTP™ uses regular FTP (not encrypted Secure FTP), so if your site administrator has disallowed regular FTP, you will not be able to use this method. Use Filezilla instead. Also, if you are going to be doing lots of heavy file operations, you may prefer to use a real FTP client, such as Filezilla, as they can be more reliable.

  1. Open Windows Explorer by going to Start > Computer or pressing Windows + E on your keyboard.
  2. Input ftp://USERNAME@app.brickftp.com/ into the Address bar. Replace USERNAME with your actual username. Click Enter. Windows Explorer should prompt for your password.
  3. If all was entered correctly, the Windows Explorer window will now show contents of your FTP. You can now browse and access it as any other drive, including via drag and drop.
